How do I get my name on the waiting list?
You need to complete MKC’s waiting list application form and mail or drop it off with a $500 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable if you want to remove your name from the list. Once you are ready to move in, the $500 waiting list deposit becomes your damage deposit.
How long is the waiting list?

Can I get in sooner with a note from my doctor?
No, the waiting list is based on when applications were submitted.
If you call and have a suite ready for me and I’m not ready, does my name go to the bottom of the waiting list?
We look forward to you joining us when you are ready on-your-schedule; you will keep your spot on the list if you’re not ready when we call.
Do you allow pets?
Sorry, residents are not allowed to have pets.
Do you provide personal/medical care?
MKC offers independent living with a service package and does not provide any personal or medical care for residents. Each resident and his or her family are responsible for arranging personal care.
Do you offer diabetic meals?
No, but we do offer fresh fruit instead of desserts. Residents are responsible for monitoring their own nutritional requirements.
Do you have a nurse on site?
Nurses are not on site. However, we do offer 24-hour staffing and emergency response service.
Can I smoke in my apartment?
MKC is a non-smoking building. Residents are not allowed to smoke in their apartments. There is a dedicated area outside the building in the courtyard where smoking is allowed.
What is the difference between the new suites and the previous suites?
The new suites have walk-in showers, compact refrigerators, and do not have carpet.
What is the cost of a second person?
The cost of a second person is $61.00.
What is the cost of parking?
Parking is $50.00.
